Hi! I'm Astro and I am a wonderful Dalmatian mix from a West Virginia shelter. We believe that I am just under three years old and mixed with a breed of "fluffy" dog because I have a luxurious, soft and snuggly coat which I love to have brushed. I was picked up as a stray so not much is known about my past, but I came with a scar on my neck, so I probably had an imbedded collar or was chained up when I was younger.

That was back in March of 2009, so I have been patiently waiting for my forever home for about a year and a half. Even though I am doing well in my foster home with three other dogs and a wonderful foster mommy to play with, I would love a home and family of my very own.

I graduated top of my obedience class, so I know how to behave like a gentleman. I am housebroken, am not destructive, and sleep through the night in my crate. I love to be scratched in a certain spot under my neck and that will make my back leg just shake with pure joy. If you have a fenced yard or dog park nearby, I love to chase tennis balls and run with the other dogs in my foster home.

I am told that I am very healthy, weighing in at 53 pounds, and have been neutered, given rabies, Lyme and distemper vaccines, and have been wormed. I am on heartworm and flea/tick monthly preventative. If you think I am the one for you, please fill out an adoption application.
