Baxter is a 2 year old neutered male that was picked up as a stray in the Richmond, Virginia area. He is up to date on all his shots, is heartworm negative, and on heartworm preventative. Baxter is blind in one eye due to retinal degeneration. In spite of this blindness, Baxter is one of the smartest Dalmatians to have ever existed! His keen sense of hearing and smell help him stay oriented. Baxter has the most beautiful black eyes and markings and probably the sharpest looking eye ring that God and nature ever bestowed on a dog. This young man is crate-trained, housebroken, obedience trained, and trained to an electric fence.

He has the most laid-back temperament that makes most people think he could not possibly be a Dalmatian! Baxter is a synonym for "super temperament." This boy is the most gentle dog in the world with small children and other animals. His heart is bigger than his body -- and this boy is big (about 65 pounds).

Baxter has been living in a family with 6 children and is loved by all. He rides wonderfully in a vehicle and stays calm under even stressful conditions. Baxter is one of the few Dals that could thrive even in an apartment because he is low-keyed and not a barker. The person or people who adopt Baxter will wonder how they ever lived without him!
