DOMINO (Courtesy Posting)
Domino is extremely attached to whoever feeds him. He follows me from room to room like a baby chick and likes to
nuzzle his head against my leg frequently. He also likes to
sleep on the couch curled up next to us when we watch TV. We also let him sleep there at
night, since it seems to ease his
arthritis and help him sleep comfortably. Domino is fine with other
dogs. The first day we fostered him he growled once at our lab
mix, but since then they have run around the yard normally
and haven't had any trouble. He is very considerate of our cats
and doesn't chase or scare them. He is also very patient with
our small child (age 5) and lets her pet him without jumping up on
her. He will bark a little at strangers if he is outside, but
always stops if I say his name or bring him back in.
Domino is up to date on shots, neutered, and is heartworm
negative. Since he is over 12, he does have minor arthritis,
and occasionally needs extra patience or help getting up a
flight of stairs. He was very cooperative with getting his
nails cut and just needs someone who will be gentle with him. He is 95% housetrained, but you have to let him go
outside 20 or 30 minutes after eating to make it easy on him
since he is older. He doesn't do any tricks, but he is very
attentive and watches people to try to figure out what they're
asking him to do. He's very eager to please. He trots around
from room to room checking on things repeatedly, which is very
cute and protective.
