Hi, I'm Laurel. I was found on Thanksgiving Day along with my friend, Heather, who's likely my mother or my sister. Heather and I were taken to a local shelter and, just before our time was up, my foster parents were notified of my plight and traveled a great distance to rescue us. I love Heather very much but I don't enjoy the company of other dogs. Heather and I will do fine in separate wonderful homes.

The veterinarian says I'm about 3-5 years old. I'm already spayed, up-to-date on all my shots, and micro-chipped. I'm heartworm positive and currently undergoing heartworm treatment. I'm doing just fine. I'm extremely affectionate with adults, completely housebroken, and not the least bit food aggressive. Given the opportunity, I'd love to sit by your side and give you big wet kisses!

I'm currently staying in a foster home in Leesburg, Virginia. My foster mom and dad don't have children or cats, so they're not quite sure how I might react to either of those.
